COVID-19

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our team have been continuously reminded to follow the Government guidelines in place. After the Prime Minister’s announcement of the latest Lockdown (on 4th January 2021), our teams will be following Company guidelines, including, but not limited to: 

  • Ensuring that we are maintaining a 'social distance' of at least 2m wherever possible, especially from those who are not household members of our employees. We respectfully ask our clients to give our workers space to move freely around your premises and to ensure you keep your distance from our employees at all times. We would suggest not being present within the same room, as our employees, for everyone's safety.

  • When arriving on site, our employees will be wearing both face masks and gloves, especially when handling your items. These are regularly cleaned and sanitised, to prevent any contamination. 

  • When arriving at your property,  we will advise you of our attendance by telephone, therefore minimising the contact had with your door furniture, providing a 'contactless service'. 

  • We take every effort to reduce the risk of spreading any potential virus particles, ensuring our vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, including the cab area (where our employees sit in transit) and the rear of our vehicles (where our customers goods are kept). To minimise exposure for our employees, our teams are travelling separately, where possible too and for this reason, we are unable to allow customers onboard any of our vehicles.

  • We ask that as many people from the household are not present on the day(s) that our employees come into your home as possible, to ensure everyone's safety. Please consider the safety of any vulnerable residents within your household. As the Science also suggests children are particularly high-risk in the spread of COVID-19, we ask that children are not present, wherever possible, during your moving date. For peace-of-mind, our staff are COVID-screened weekly, to ensure our workforce is healthy, when interacting with our customers.

  • While working, our staff members will leave both internal and external doors open, to ensure there is appropriate ventilation throughout the property. Please also consider opening windows, to increase ventilation, prior to the arrival of our team.

  • We respectfully ask that clients do not provide refreshments for our teams, to help prevent the spread of the virus (including food/beverages).

  • Our workers may ask to wash their hands regularly, while on site. All our vehicles have hand sanitiser supplied too. 

  • We would also ask customers to do as much of the packing between themselves and their household, as possible, to ensure the risk of infection remains low. 

  • When taking payment, our Contact Centre will provide a 'payment link', ensuring that there is minimal contact between our staff and customers, and to reduce the risk of infection through touching card readers, phones or other devices. We will therefore be unable to accept cash payments and would request that customers do not offer gratuities to our staff, in this format.
